062512 is the documentation of the inaugural live performance from One Horse Town, which occurred on June 25th, 2012, before a small audience in Oakland California.
"When I was initially approached to perform some material in a live context, it seemed pretty easy. However, the long form nature of the material presented it's own challenges...how to keep the music exciting without changing the overall sonic conent, how to best present it visually, etc. It was a great experience, and I'm looking forward to exploring live performance further in the future."
The performance consists of a selection of three songs, one from each of the full length releases to date, and one as-yet-unreleased track. The program material was modified to seamlessly blend together, providing an uninterrupted eighty minute soundscape called 'Showga', named after the event of the performance.
The recording was mixed live in the analog domain, blending pre-recorded backing tracks with a variety of synths and ambience added in realtime, recorded direct to hard disk and digitally mastered.
